Javicia Leslie

Javicia Leslie is an actress and philanthropist committed to her best-known role as Ryan Wilder in D.C.'s Batwoman. While at Hampton University, Leslie's love for performing grew, and she appeared in several school productions, including Seven Guitars, For Colored Girls, and Chicago. Since then, her lead television roles include CBS' #1 drama, God Friended Me, the MacGyver reboot, and BET's #1 drama series, The Family Business. She's also made her leading lady feature debut in the hilarious comedy, Always a Bridesmaid, penned by NAACP- nominated Yvette Nicole Brown.

Javicia is committed to living a purpose-driven life. She founded The Chandler Foundation to serve the brightest young stars in the community of Prince George's, Maryland. It produces an annual back-to-school celebration that provides students with backpacks, school supplies, and haircuts to mark the new school year. Javicia names her ultimate passion as giving children the space and freedom to follow their dreams.
