Trell Thomas
Iconic and Influential
Media expert and activist Trell Thomas is on a mission to empower people of color and spread positivity while amplifying Black excellence. His resume includes working for the historic Obama Presidential Campaign in 2008, overseeing talent relations and communications for some of the biggest brands at Viacom, and helping corporations and celebrities align with social causes.
The Dreamer’s Journey
Over the years, Thomas has interviewed many respected figures including Gladys Knight, Anthony Mackie, Dr. Cornel West, and Bozoma Saint John to share their powerful journeys. His latest project is an upcoming Discovery+/OWN series about the difficulties Black men face today, while highlighting and celebrating the triumphs and successes of everyday living.
Future Greatness
Thomas also spearheads #AndStillIVote initiatives like the Open Letter To Congress, he moves the conversation in Hollywood forward as a founding member of My Publicist Is Black, serves the Black community with organizations like Where Art Can Occur (WACO) Theater Center, and runs the “Black Excellence Brunch” to build community among Black people from all backgrounds and professions. Through all his charity and nonprofit work, he aims to inspire us all to Dream in Black.
