Kwame Anku
AT&T Dream in Black Future Maker Kwame Anku is the CEO and Chairman of Black Star Fund, a venture capital fund that invests primarily in the Black tech and innovation entrepreneurs. Kwame is the only venture capitalist in the United States that has created two funds with all-Black Portfolios. The Black Star Fund has invested in over a dozen Black companies with over 50% led by Black women. Kwame entered the tech industry after being personally recruited by the legendary rock star, Prince, to develop his mobile app. An honor graduate of Stanford University and an Ascend Fellow at the prestigious Aspen Institute, Kwame has spoken all over the world about the importance of innovation investment for Black economic empowerment. He has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, BBC, NPR, Sirius XM, NPR and has been a guest speaker at the Obama White House. Kwame is truly creating the Motown of Venture Capital!
